Christine Plater and Robert Eppes of the Governor's Office of Business Advocacy (GOBA) and Small Business Assistance will discuss opportunities, technical assistance and resources for technology industry companies that are interested in doing business with the State of Maryland. IT contracts represent more than $360 million in State procurement. New initiatives, including the State's Small Business Reserve Program and enhanced opportunities for financing, bidding over e-Maryland Marketplace, and mentoring through the Minority Business Enterprise Program, will be highlighted.

Our July speakers can help you make the right connections for procurement information, for business development assistance, and to contract financing programs tailored for Maryland small businesses. Focusing on advocacy and assistance for small, minority and women-owned companies statewide, GOBA, a division of the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development (DBED), is located in downtown Baltimore.
