E-cycling Event Planned for Manchester
The Carroll County Recycling Office and the Town of Manchester are sponsoring a one day e-cycling event on Saturday, April 24, between 8 and 11 a.m. at Manchester Valley High School. Residents can bring computer, office equipment and electronics to be recycled. Items that may be dropped off include computer equipment (computer and monitors, laptops, keyboards, printers, mice, hard drives, tapes and zip drives, etc.); office equipment (telephones, fax machines, copiers, etc.); consumer electronics (DVD players, VCRs, gaming devices, stereo components-no speakers, radios, PDAs, cell phones, cables, etc.); and televisions (CRTs/LCDs, no consoles). Manchester Valley High School is located at 3300 Maple Grove Road, Manchester. Electronics are also accepted at the Northern Landfill Recycling Center at 1400 Baltimore Blvd. in Westminster, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. For information regarding electronics recycling at Northern Landfill, contact Maria Myers, Carroll County Government Recycling Manager, at 410-386-2035.
