Carroll County Continues to Implement E-Government Solutions
In a bid to upgrade its technology infrastructure, Carroll County has awarded a CA-based Accela a 10-year contract to implement a new integrated land development and permits system. The enterprise application will be deployed across a number of county departments and will be used to automate permitting, inspections, workflow, contractor licenses, zoning and development plan review. In addition, the county will implement a wireless system for mobile inspectors, map data from a central GIS database, and an Internet citizen access portal.
